XTH was apparently contracted out, and has lead to all kinds of bugs/issues (as well as apparently account hacks).

It is dead now. GG Anet. Way to kill account purchase demand.

PvP rewards should never have been given to people who didn't PvP to earn them in the first place.

Making predictions and watching the monthly matches. I loved it when I got a couple correct. IT was fun.

Well after they kinda sold me the accounts they kinda ditched the XTH and just kinda screwed me. So i started playing other games. Well i have spent a couple hundred dollars since i quit a few months ago on other games.. money that ANet will not get. I also was a 20-30 hour a week GW junkie now i dont think i will even buy GW2 or AIon for that matter.

I dont know if others feel the same way but ANet had me from pre sear and somehow just screwed it up with the misqueues and i feel they have alienated me.
No one wants your whiny self in the game, no one asked you to buy multiple accounts and ANET is not "Out to get you" just because XTH had bugs and issues that just happened to come out around the time YOU decided to buy multiple accounts instead of concentrating on one. Stop blaming others for your decisions and take a little responsibility for your own endeavors. I hope people like you don't get GW2 so I don't have to deal with your whiny little ass... I am so sorry that the whole world revolves around you and the world missed the memo.... GET A LIFE DUDE!

And that is what I really hate about how ANet does things. They promised the community that they will fix it, but they are actually placing it in such a low priority and barely working on it so much so that they might as well come clean and tell us they are NOT fixing it.

Unless they are intending to mislead their customers into buying more game accounts for XTH?

The customer relations implications around the fixing of the XTH is really bad that I declared to my friends that I am not buying GW2 because of how ANet handles issues like this.

The XTH is/was a minor part of GW1 and simply isn't worth spending much time on anyway. That people bought multiple accounts just for the XTH is their own fault, Anet isn't responsible for it. The XTH was bugged, always was. In May it collapsed. Anet tried to fix it, told us they would give it a last shot. Obviously that didn't work. Yes, they could have told us the outcome. But I think most people figured out by now that it isn't coming back.

The fail this time isn't from anet
Many ppl's used to register like 50 or more accounts to get lot of keys every months. That's their fault

The file IS from ANet

It's not about Xth, it IS about the total breakdown in customer relations.

Why won't they just say it's gone for good? It's not easy to respect a company who chooses to lie to their customers then junt cuts off communication all together on an issue that many (not I) care about.

What's that got to do with breaking XTH?

XTH is as bad of an idea as RR day.

Free keys for people who don't do sht for them.

You get more RP's from just doing the predictions than you do if you play int he mAT and don't make top 16.

Suck it.

I agree, but at the same time I say PvP rewards should never be tradable with gold or any other PvE items. PvP is not about getting rich, it is about beating the other team using 'skill' and the sweet taste of victory. Zaishen rank should have stayed PvP only and PvP should have gotten more rare items and skins to unlock. PvE should have had its own emote that comes with the 'koabd' title track. They can put Aion wings in this game if they see dollar signs, but a wanted feature by pve'rs for years...forget about it.

PvE'rs and PvP'rs shouldn't work against eachother, but they should grant eachother the fun to earn cool stuff in each format.

QFT.

No matter how you look at this issue, ANet definitely is at fault. If they have decided to fix and have announced that intention, then they should fix. If they have decided not to fix it and gave their reasons then fine.

The problem is, they promised the community that they would fix it, then broke their promise without telling the community. How is that not their fault? Whichever way the issue stands, it IS their fault!

Otherwise I would hold a contest, promise a 100 ectos to the winner, then backout without saying a word, that means it is all fine?

Whichever side of the argument you are on, still are we suppose to trust a company that breaks their promises and lied to their customers?

All you raging "OMG A.net is the sux" QQers can bite it. They do seem to be making progress at least. (although I'd still prefer the system to stay dead).

BAD BUSINESS IS SIMPLY BAD BUSINESS.

Why a company would kill free revenue from a source like this, I still can't completely fathom. Prolly pure incompetence (as in, they didn't intent for it to fail this way).

the xunlai house was simply a lazy mans money machine.. peeps were buying multiple accounts just to be given free keys every month

for doing basically nothing.. you didn't even have to pvp- part of the reason why there is so much money in the economy too.. I'm sure it pisses off alot of players who bought accounts just to farm the xunlai, that's why there's threads like this.. but really, login twice a month and collect welfare in a video game XD that's what you were doing

only good thing about it is it created alot of EL tonics

4 of my friends left the game due to XTH. Not that they cared so much about rewards, they did not like the way it was handled. On the market there is quite big competition. Things like XTH can make people leave to the other games.

as soon as rawr couldn't win the MAT anymore, they removed the XTH. it's a conspiracy. euros are not allowed to get their hands on large amounts of zkeys.

If zkeys were unable to be traded then everything would be fine.
